"That's Just Like You"

I've been reading and studying through Genesis in my devotions.... and I think over the past 4 weeks I've just gotten through the 6th day of creation... and it has been amazing to see the glory of God through creation. Something that's struck me over and over, not only in my studies but in life is that God continually with out fail will do the impossible... or what seems like the least likely... and the most impossible to bring glory to himself! It's just like Him.

You know how we hear things about people and say, "that's just like them."...for instance... I lost my passport last week and searched and searched, made announcements over the radio station, went to the police station...went through a lot of hussle and bussle... and come to find this morning... it had been sitting in my computer bag the whole time... some of you might say, " that's just like Amy.".... or maybe even "that's just like a Donell".... which might be true..... but I've been able to see through Genesis and through different life circumstances... that God does things... His "Wonderful works"... and we are awed at them... as we should be... but they are JUST LIKE HIM!
He makes man the crown of life! MAN! Hello... He gives MAN... this pewny creature that really is rather weak, small, ugly, confined, and slow and makes him the crown of life... why didn't He pick a glorious animal such as the Lion? but no... He chose man. Why? Because something that impossible, man being the crown of life, that unlikely would bring more glory to Himself. People can look at that and say, " that MUST be God... and God alone!" That's just like Him.

Then, again, God created man out of what? DUST! You mean that dirty stuff that we are constantly trying to keep OUT of our houses, shoes, hair, and bathrooms and off our pianos???? That's what He created MAN out of???? Man is a fearfully made creature... amazing! Any of you that marvel at the human body... it really is AMAZING! Listen to this:

"For thou didst form my inner parts; and dist weave me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Thy works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from Thee, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance and in Thy book they were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them" Psalm 139.13-16

from dust he created our inner parts. From dirt He's create our unformed substance. Doesn't that seem unlikely? Crazy? Absurd? Impossible? EXACTLY! It does. That's why He did it. Because we look at it and we say, "That's something that ONLY God could do." He get's the glory.......................... That's just like Him.
